On the 27th August, Amoria Bond kicked off the celebrations for Manchester Pride 2021 early with our now-annual warm-up event involving food, drinks and the very best music live streamed into in all our offices globally, as well as remote-working employees homes!

With the office decked out in rainbow flags, platters of pride-decorated cupcakes scattered around the kitchens and our own multi-coloured logo showcasing our commitment to inclusion across the T-shirts of our employees, the day started brightly for everyone in the Amoria Bond Manchester office with our DiversityPlaylist providing a warm-up to the warm-up! And by early-afternoon the free pizzas had arrived, the beer fridge was cracked open and the music began pumping: the party was underway.

It’s a well known fact that music plays an important part of the culture at Amoria Bond, stemming from our three founders’ collective love of DJing. So our Pride warm-up event once again became a chance for founder Daniel Daw to get on the decks and deliver a killer set of top tunes, which was livestreamed to all of Amoria Bond’s global offices, our remote workers and any of our network of followers who wanted to tune in. Big shout out also to Andy Bluffield who had also pre-recorded a set before flying out for a well deserved family holiday.

Last year’s live set had proved to be a massive hit on social media so this year we went bigger and better with the ultimate Friday soundtrack. With beats pumping, beer and prosecco flowing, and everyone getting in the festival spirit, the atmosphere was well and truly buzzing.

Two of our PROFES values are Respect and Fun. The first means that inclusivity and acceptance of all people is at the heart of our company’s belief system, while the second means that we celebrate the events that are important to our employees and create a work experience that everyone can enjoy. So Manchester Pride weekend has quickly become a massive flagship inclusion event for us – in the city where Amoria Bond was established back in 2006.

We’ve written before about how important it is for companies to deliver on their inclusion promises and at Amoria Bond we ensure we do everything we can to ensure that our values are represented through our actions. Whether that means removing hiring biases and encouraging acceptance in the workplace, or celebrating the events that our important to us while flying the flag for LGBTQ+ allyship.

We’re proud of our commitment to inclusivity, and we’re already excited for next year’s Amoria Bond Manchester Pride Warm-Up Party.
