2021 has got off to challenging start for many with more lockdowns and social restrictions around the world, and many us back working from home. Our strong value-led culture is the heartbeat of Amoria Bond, and we all look forward to when we can get back to normal and enjoy being able to be back together in the office and socially. Together, we will get through this - we’ve done it before, and this time the vaccines mean there is light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully the end is in sight. In the meantime, as a company, we are fully open for business and continue progressing lives everywhere.
Launched in the Spring of 2020 in response to the first wave of lockdowns, our internal Wellbeing hub is built around the round the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and provides employees with a range of resources to promote their mental health and wellbeing, including podcasts, videos, blogs, and articles with tips, tools and techniques from external experts. It’s a great resource, but as world happiness levels continued to plummet, and stress, depression and anxiety levels soared, we wanted to do more for our employees and beyond. Cue AB Active, an inclusive companywide fundraising initiative that not only helps connect our teams whilst encouraging them and their families and friends to get active, but also give back as the company donated £1 for every single kilometre completed to our long term friends, Project Peru, to keep their children’s refuge operational at one of the toughest times for charities, particularly in that part of the world - we raised over £8000! Subsequently, Amoria Bond has run a number of Wellbeing initiatives, engaging a number of external experts to deliver some brilliant wellbeing sessions, many of which we also made freely available to candidates and clients across our network too, including the AB 5 Ways to Wellbeing Week in October 2020.
With the latest lockdowns and social restrictions impacting most of our teams around the world, there was only one thing for it… and this week we launched AB WINTER WELLBEING 2020!
Being Active is a key Wellbeing pillar, but we know that it can be tough to find the time and motivation to exercise (especially during the cold, wet Winter!), so back by popular demand is a weekly Pilates session with the wonderful Sasha Buy of OnForm Fitness, and a weekly HiiT with Liam Cullen, Master Trainer at BLOK.
In response to employee suggestions, we’re also providing weekly Mindfulness Meditation sessions led by Julie McCann, Founder of Unicorn Wellness and Leadership Academy. Unicorn have recently published a short guide to managing your wellbeing during this latest lockdown which you might find helpful which can be accessed here.
Because we operate around the world and across multiple timezones, we’ve made these online sessions available to employees both as live classes and as a recorded replay accessible 247 via a dedicated new Wellbeing zone on Vimeo. Amoria Bond are committed to Progressing Lives Everywhere, so please feel free to access any of these sessions too, completely free of charge Here
We hope you enjoy these sessions designed to help you BE CONNECTED, TAKE NOTICE, and BE ACTIVE.
