Amoria Bond is delighted to welcome Fiona Gleeson as our new Group Chief Financial Officer.

Fiona joined the business in September 2021, after 13 years of working in the recruitment industry. Fiona heads up the Group Services function, which includes Finance and Accounting, Legal and Compliance, Treasury, and business planning. She works closely with the Board and the senior management team to advise on the strategic direction of the Group as well as striving to improve the service offering to our global clients and candidates.

The organic growth over the past 12 months that Amoria Bond has achieved, together with our international footprint, excited her about the role and the Group’s future prospects. In addition to this, she was very impressed with our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, such as the fact that 45% of promotions and new hires in H1 2021 are female.

Fiona’s appointment is the second female to be appointed to our Executive Board in 2021 following Natasha Crump's appointment in March -  and also means that women now represent 50% of Amoria Bond’s Executive Board.

Before joining the Group, Fiona was M&A Director for a global healthcare staffing agency, Acacium. Her responsibilities included project managing seven acquisitions of businesses based in the UK and the US and overseeing corporate transactions and the sale of the Group to four different private equity owners. She also worked for a publicly listed company which enabled her to gain valuable experience in business operating best practice, governance, control and risk management within large multinational and multisite operations.

She loves sport and keeping fit, so in her spare time, she will usually be training for a marathon or half marathon and post-run relaxing watching a variety of sports, including football and rugby. She’s particularly keen on hearing from other fans of Bristol City or Bristol Rugby!

Fiona has already begun making an impact within Amoria Bond, including hosting a virtual meeting of ASCEND – our internal initiative to attract, retain and progress more women across the Amoria Bond Group. In the session, she talked about her own career experiences and the challenges she’s faced as a woman and discussed why Amoria Bond’s commitment to Diversity & Inclusion is so important to achieving our ambitious 5-year global G.R.O.W.T.H. strategy. You can view a short clip from the session, in which Fiona reveals why our D&I initiatives were a deciding factor in choosing to join Amoria Bond, here:

We look forward to hearing much more from Fiona in the future.
